1st Joyous Community Garden Workday!
Sunday October 16th 2-4pm. Two hours of back-breaking fun: Learning about no-till farming and sheet mulching the hard way.
Food and Refreshments.
We will sheet mulch a segment of the garden and talk about what we can and want to do before frost and in the spring etc. Like when are we going to plant Garlic? I am interested in the idea of a forest garden/ permaculture-type deal and would like to plant more perennials/ berry bushes/ fruit trees etc. Anyone want to help? We have the budget. We need ideas and we need hands (and backs)
