Maritime Studies Information Session

Christie Jackson from the Williams-Mystic Maritime Studies Program will be here to talk about the program and how to get into a maritime career.

When: Monday, October 17th, 6:00 PM

Where: Career Options Resource Center, Library, 3rd Floor

Williams-Mystic, The Maritime Studies Program of Williams College and Mystic Seaport, offers students a unique opportunity to explore the ocean, to travel the Atlantic, Gulf Pacific Coasts, and to undertake original research of their own design in the humanities and sciences. Students explore an interdisciplinary curriculum of ocean and coastal studies integrating marine science, maritime history, environmental policy, and literature of the sea. Students earn a full semester’s credit and a transcript from Williams College. Students live in historic, cooperative, coed houses at Mystic Seaport, the world's largest maritime museum, and have full access to world-class maritime collections, a maritime library, well-equipped laboratory, and diverse coastal habitats. Throughout the semester, students sail the deep blue waters of the Atlantic on a tall ship and travel the Pacific and Gulf coasts as part of their extraordinary experience. College sophomores, juniors, and seniors may participate, and all majors are welcome.
