Description

The Amherst Symphony Orchestra will be performing a full-length concert of wonderful Russian music, including Shostakovich's Fifth Symphony and the Procession of the Nobles from Act II from Rimsky-Korsakov's opera-ballet Mlada.

They will also perform Tchaikovsky's ever-popular First Piano Concerto with guest soloist Henry Wong Doe, international prizewinner at the 2000 Rubinstein piano competition in Tel Aviv and doctoral candidate at the Juilliard School.
