First Mixed Heritage meeting of the semester - we will eat dinner, introduce ourselves, and brainstorm ideas for the semester. Wednesday night - Cultural Center - 6:30-8pm

Mixed Heritage:
We are a group of mixed race and transnationally, transracially adopted students who identify as being mixed heritage. We all feel that our idnetities are challenged in some way and want to give a supportive, safe environment to talk about political identity as well as personal experience. We feel that our
experiences are not necessarily represented in a single race group. Being a part of two or more different cultural or racial groups creates conflict in belonging, raises authenticity issues, creates familial misunderstandings and constant explanation to the larger community.
