This week's HAMPSHIRE DESIGN CONSPIRACY
Alumnus Aaron Wieler will join us to talk about his summer experience in San Francisco and Nicaragua working with Whirlwind Wheelchair International.
The Lemelson Center hosts this informal gathering for students with interests in design. Bring your interest and we'll bring the pizza.
The Hampshire Design Conspiracy is an informal weekly gathering for those with interests in design. The primary goal of the gathering is to provide a forum where students can get ideas, feedback, support, and inspiration from their peers. Any design idea or project is welcome for discussion. Attend as frequently or sporadically as you wish. It's not necessary for you to have a project or even have any experience in design, interest is the only prerequisite.
For more information talk to Glenn or Don at ext. 3109.

INSIDER INFO ON GRADUATE ADMISSIONS AT UC BERKELEY
Josephine Moreno, PH.D., Graduate Diversity Coordinator for the School of Arts and Humanities, and a colleague of Ralph Hexter's, is presenting this workshop. Her focus is on students and recent grads who would be considered *diversity candidates* and who are considering graduate studies at UC Berkeley, School of Humanities and Arts or School of Social Sciences. All students are welcome to attend.
Dr. Moreno sits on the admissions review panel for the School of Arts and Humanities, and works closely with the School of Social Sciences. She will discuss what the admissions committees look for as they read applications and how you can improve your chances of being selected. This can include the application itself for Div. III's, as well as classes and other prep that would be applicable to a Div I or Div II student.

Greetings!
I am Dr. Josephine Moreno, the Graduate Diversity Coordinator for the Arts & Humanities in the College of Letters & Science at the University of California, Berkeley. I work with prospective and continuing diversity graduate students. Prospective diversity students and I often discuss graduate school preparation, admission criteria, the admission process, and university and external funding. Continuing students are typically concerned about funding, academic issues, completing their degrees, and
personal matters.
Prospective graduate students may be interested in STEP by Step (link), an advising tool for Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences students. Although it was developed for Berkeley students, it includes valuable information for all students interested in graduate studies at Berkeley and students who desire to enrich their undergraduate experience.
_______
We hope you will come to this program, which has been arranged at the request of President Ralph Hexter. It is cosponsored by CORC, HACU, SS, and UC-Berkeley.

Has anyone seen my missing box?
One of the boxes I stored in Merrill Storage is lost! The box had a red vacuum cleaner, winter coats, book bags, and bathroom supplies.
I stored the box over the summer, but couldn't find it by the time I came back for this Fall. I don't care who took it; just e-mail me or call me at sl03@hampshire.edu / x5978 if you have seen my box. Please save me from shopping for those stuffs all over again.
